Children who come second or later in birth order really get cheated. Poor Nathanael rarely ever gets quality one-on-one time with me. While Sam's at school, he and I are normally running errands or taking care of other household tasks. But last Thursday we went on our second annual strawberry picking escapade, just he and I (and our friends).
Last year Natey thoroughly enjoyed himself, eating every berry he could get his hands on- red, green, rotten, he didn't care. This year, he still ate quite a few berries,

but he was a little distracted. He wanted to play with his friend, Riley.

It was a great day for picking (overcast and not too hot), and we got their early enough to avoid a crowded strawberry field. By the end of the day, Natey had definitely eaten his weight in strawberries. We have just a few frozen in the freezer, and the rest have been consumed. There is nothing better than strawberries freshly picked with your own hands. And there's no better picking partner than your very own cute little munchkin.

On Friday night, we decided to do something a little different than we normally do (sitting at home), and so we went downtown. Although
Artisphere was happening, we really didn't go for that, although we did take a gander at some of the tents. We really just wanted to get out and take the boys down to
Falls Park. We had great intentions of getting dinner downtown, which didn't materialize. We ended up eating at a Greek restaurant in Simpsonville, and keeping the boys out WAY past their bedtime. But atleast I was able to snap some semi-decent pictures of the boys while we were at the park. If I could ever get both boys to look at the camera and smile at the same time we'd be in business!
