Our ward was split in October and I was quickly called to teach Sam's primary class. For the remainder of the year, the had primary combined for sharing time so I got to see Nathanael during third hour too. They decided it was too wild with it combined, so after the first of the year, they split it again. It was fun to see both of my primary kids while it lasted.
