February activities included a Valentine's themed trip to the art studio, where we found ourselves with the place to ourselves. There's little that Claire loves more than arts and crafts, so she could stay and create all day long. Luckily, "table time" is limited to about 2 hours.
Simply exhausted by having to wake up at least once a night with Claire for her whole entire life at this point, I started letting her sleep more and more frequently with her brothers. Most nights Sam was happy to have her (he adores that little girl), but some nights, he too, just wanted to be able to fall asleep alone. It was always quite funny to see how we would find them before we went to bed.
Barnum and Bailey's Circus was taking one final tour before closing down forever, so we couldn't miss the last Greatest Show on Earth.
School activities in February included lunch dates with Nate and he also ran in his school's fundraiser run (because everyone does, but we didn't collect donations because I don't like begging friends/family for money). Sam's school did Invention Convention instead of a science fair project. Sam invented "the cool pillow", a pillow that stays cool all night. He used my sewing machine to help sew a pillow case with a velcro pouch where a refrigerated gel pack could be inserted.
I was still going to the gym most days, and thankfully Maria Fielosh was one of the usual childcare workers and Claire absolutely loves her. She also had fun getting to play with Brynn for an hour each morning.
We attended two different Valentine themed Toddler Times- one was cookie decorating with Brynn and the other was a craft with Tessa.
Sometimes even fairies need a timeout.
This handsome fella turned 8.
February was exceptionally mild, so one Saturday, we grabbed our neighbor friends, Coleman and Gabi, and went downtown to walk around, visit Mast General Store, and enjoy some treats.
Claire was the cutest little girl in town on her Daddy/Daughter Date at Chick Fil A.
Play date with Tessa required bath time to show off her color changing tablets.
To appease Claire's desire for a pet cat, we started taking trips to Petco to play with whatever cats they had in cages for adoption. She still hasn't given up on adopting one, one day.
We rounded out the month with a Toddler Time about weather, making rain clouds in a cup.
