Several days before school started, Claire had meet the teacher for her K4 class. Her teacher was Mrs. Lauren and the helper was Mrs. Pat, both of whom were exceptionally kind and loving.
Sam got to go set up his new middle school locker a few days before school as well. Though it was his first year of middle school, he remained at the same school he had been at since 3rd grade- Charles Townes Center.
The first day of school was the day after the eclipse. Claire started K4, Nate 3rd grade, and Sam 6th. Sam started band and we selected the trombone because we didn't know if he would stick with band and the school already had a trombone he could use for free.
Claire's school started later than the boys, so she was able to come walk Nate into school. His teacher for the year was Mrs. Cleghorn.
Sweet Claire had a very exhausting first day of school.
And lucky for her, because she only attended school 3 days a week, there was still plenty of time for play dates with friends, including a trip to the Children's Museum on the very last day of August with Benny and Becca.
